Who we are
The Knowledge Elephant provides software engineering and consultancy services from the United Kingdom and South Africa. For any privacy question or request, email [email protected].
What we collect
When you submit the contact form we collect your name, work email, company, optional role and timeline, your message, the page you submitted from, the referring page and campaign (UTM) parameters, and the country derived from your connection. We do not use advertising cookies on this site.
Why we use it
We use enquiry data to reply to you and to prepare for any conversation you ask for. Our lawful basis is your consent and our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries. We do not sell your data or add you to marketing lists without asking.
Where it is processed
The site is served by Cloudflare. Enquiries are passed to our workflow automation system (n8n) and stored in our enquiries table, which only our team can access. Data may be processed in the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area and South Africa, with safeguards appropriate to each transfer.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, unless we enter into a contract, in which case our client records policy applies.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR and the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) you can ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, object to processing, or withdraw consent at any time. Email us and we will respond within one month. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office or South Africa’s Information Regulator.
